[Travel Tips] Check your luggage immediately after you hauled it off the belt

Conveyor belt of Taiwan's Taoyuan International Airport

This is something I only came to know few days, while having a chit-chatting with a relative who used to work in the aviation industry.

He shared with a piece of information maybe some of you guys already aware of it that is - "Check your luggage immediately after you hauled it off the belt."

If the luggage was damaged in the process when hauled it off from the airplane to the conveyor belt, the passenger should immediately notify the "Lost and Found" counter or the relevant department of the airport.

That is only if your travel insurance covers such occurrence if such event took place.

Normally, according to what my relative told me, the relevant authority are liable to such incident, and in even that the damaged luggage cannot be repaired, a new luggage of similar value will be compensated to the owner.

So do aware of this, check your luggage and whosoever should such incident takes place...

Oh Tiger why??

Saw this picture of a seat onboard a "Tiger Airways" plane from an internet posting.

The first look at the picture would give an impression that this is ridiculous and totally unacceptable, even if the seat was not being occupied during the flight.

I would like to add on that "Tiger Airway " while being a non-frills flight operator, should not compromise on issues such as this - it certainly look kind of bad and the considerable damage had been done to its image.

Perhaps, they should take a cue from Air Asia regarding handling passenger feedback.

What a shame...

Some pictures along the way....

Sometimes, it's kinda fun to carry your digital camera around and snap whatever you find it interesting...

Took this shot when the MRT train was on its way to Kranji from Yew Tee...

A new condominium, right outside Yew Tee station (it's a common sight everywhere to fill up such residence in any empty plot of land)

Snapped this shot of Lorong 2, Toa Payoh while on my way home from Toa Payoh Stadium.

Kitchener Road - row of restuarants selling vegetarian and Southern Chinese cusine dotted along this road named after the famed war-time British Field Marshal.

Sunrise... not really, just that the lighting that time made it looked as if it was

Everybody was kinda glum-face as it was MONDAY BLUES when the shot was being taken

Best to describe these two "aunties" for hogging the seats

One and a half hour gone liao, change partner still chat like nobody business

Amazing!! these layabots gathered for more than 2 hours! now enjoying their lunch... waste of human space!
