I think one of the difficult aspects of taking photograph is taking picture in dark surrounding.
As the lighting is poor and the sky is dark, my S2000 would have to configure some settings that will compromise the output of some pictures (i.e.: set to a higher ISO - which is something I don't really fancy due to the "grainy" effort, but allow more light to be absorbed)
As someone feedback from the HWZ forum, where I maintain
a thread of posting my pictures there, he said
you should use a tripod at night, unless you have damn sniper hands.
Indeed, it's true because I was once told that if there's not tripod available, one should look for a flat stable surface to place your camera on top of it when taking picture under such lighting circumstances, as the key of taking such picture is the "stability" of hold the camera - THE GRIP.
SOME PICTURES TAKEN ALONG THE WAY...
Behind 313 - one of new malls that sprouted up from nowhere in Orchard Road.
A quiet walkway along Somerset Road.
The dynamic wall façade that deco the wall of another new mall - Orchard Central.
The main escalator at the entrance of the Orchard Central - notice lack of sharpness of the shot?
A shot from near the lift door where the interior of a shop is visible (not skiving around for staff here)
Your typical Saturday at Orchard Road.
But to be honest, software like "picnik" and "picasa" are essential to enhance quality of the pictures
